TEFL Jobs for non-native English speakers
While many schools are looking specifically for teachers from countries where English is spoken as a first language, you can also find a job teaching English abroad even if you are not a native English speaker. However, language fluency is required and some private and also public schools require you to show a so called IELTS or TOEFL certificate to proof your proficiency in the English language. In this day and age, you can even do such tests online. On this page, you find a list of countries where most schools do not require you to be a native English speaker.
